We are a group of senior publishing professionals who came together to craft a business that allows us to create knowledge the ethical way in today’s fast-paced,competitive environment while aiming at quality-focussed publishing.Our mission isto take research and scholarship on/about South Asia across the globe and to bring the best of world scholarship to the region, in the form of books/journals/research projects/reports. We engage with the entire range of disciplines within the humanities and the social sciences.
We see South Asia as a vast geographical locale, a cultural idea that revolves around connectedness, diversity, and pluralism. This thought is reflected in our logo, the inspiration for which was the halo of one of the famed Buddha statues at the Great Stupa at Sanchi. For us the image signifies meaningful dissemination of knowledge for a vast range of scholars to adopt and benefit from, just as the chakra was adopted as the ultimate truth or knowledge.
While our primary focus is building long-lasting partnerships with all our authors, our attention is equally concentrated on crafting creative avenues to reach the readers.
Each of us has 15 to 20 years of experience working for some of the most prestigious and successful knowledge management and publishing firms, international and domestic. We offer a wide range of services encompassing the full spectrum of the publishing cycle, including editorial, pre-press, production, both print and digital, marketing, sales, and distribution. We value the traditional professionalism and personal touch of the publishing business and hope to bring it back in a meaningful way in today’s context.
We have worked with several prestigious institutions including University of Warsaw, Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi), Management Development Institute (MDI, Gurugram), Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (Dhaka), Shiv Nadar University, Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR, Mumbai) and Institute of Human Development ( IHD, Delhi). We will be happy to respond to proposals and queries about any aspect of our work from universities, institutions, business firms, other networks, and individuals.
Based in New Delhi, India we are in the process of setting up offices in other parts of the world.
